Hi James/Philip

As it happens, myself and a couple of others are 'doing'  a sand lizard day tomorrow in conjunction with Natural England at their Ainsdale NNR - cant quite understand your query, however, since I was under the impression that you had already given your name as a probable attendee !!

There will be live specimens on display, including sand and common lizards, plus a presentation on the species, its historical distribution on Merseyside, biology, ecology, and captive breeding undertakings.

Afterwards, there will be a limited site 'walkabout' on the NNR, in order to familiarise with habitat preferences/management, with the possibility of encountering wild examples.

This is primarily intended to introduce local folk to one of their local 'jewels' and its importance for the NNR and other Local Nature Reserves, all lying within the Merseyside SSSI.

Hi Tim

Start time for all who plan on coming is 10-00am on the NNR at West End Lodge - limited parking if lots of folks turn up  - in fact, I'm not certain what instructions have been advertised re. parking, so you may need to park up off the reserve, and walk in.

NE contact is Nick Haigh   Nick Haigh   01704 578774

Hope the link works
